(Note: Every parent and child, when registering for participation in the AJFL agrees to abide by this Code of Conduct.)

Parent

I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, or event.

I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of my personal desire to win.

I will never taunt, yell, threaten or inflict physical violence upon any player, coach, official, volunteer, or spectator at any AJFL activity.

I will refrain from the use of foul or abusive language, ethnic, racial, or gender-related slurs at anytime at any AJFL activity.

I will leave the coaching to the coaching staff in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.

I will respect and show appreciation for the volunteers who give their time to the AJFL.

I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and will refrain from their use at all AJFL events.

I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex creed, or ability.

I understand that football is a team sport and that my child’s participation is important to the well being of the entire team. Therefore, I will ensure that my child is present at all practices and games.

I understand that it is my responsibility to make my guests aware of, and abide by the terms of this Code of Conduct.

I will remember that that the game is for youth not adults, and I will do my very best to make the AJFL experience fun for my child.

Participant (Players, Cheerleaders, Coaches, and Volunteers)

I will not use foul or abusive language on the field, during practice, during games, or any AJFL event.

I will not verbally or physically lash out at any game official, coach, player, or volunteer during any AJFL event.

I will conduct myself in a befitting manner during all team practices, games, and AJFL functions.

I will respect my coaches, fellow teammates, fellow parents, opponents, volunteers, and officials. I will treat them as I would like to be treated.

I am responsible for my equipment, I will treat it as if it was my own, and I will return all of it at the conclusion of the season.

I understand that players, coaches, volunteers and team officials who cannot abide by these rules or who violates them will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including removal from the team.

By accepting, I indicate that I have read and understand the above Code of Conduct and agree that all members of my family will abide by its guidelines at all team and league events. I understand that if I do not follow the Code of Conduct, I may be asked to leave the league activity (game or practice) or I may be asked to withdraw my child from the league.
